Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia have crossed paths for the first time since their controversial showdown last April.
Garcia put on the performance of a lifetime to defeat Haney, dropping the former WBC super lightweight champion multiple times before claiming a decision victory at the Barclays Center in New York.
It was later revealed that the 26-year-old from California had failed a VADA test, which showed that he had been taking the banned substance Ostarine in the lead-up to the fight. In light of this revalation, Garcia was issued with a 1-year ban and a fine of over $1 million.
Both fighters were present at the Ring Magazine Awards in London on Saturday night, rubbing shoulders with each other for the first time since the events that unfolded last year.
In a video that surfaced on X, Haney’s father and trainer Bill revealed he and Devin waited for Garcia outside the awards ceremony, heckling ‘King Ry’ as he exited the building.

Garcia has since responded to Bill Haney on his own X account, claiming Haney would ‘get the call’ for a potential rematch this year.
“I came here for business bill. You are going to get that call. Just shut up take the deal drop the lawsuit and do what you’re told bum.”
Haney has revealed his plans to return to the ring in the next few months with March the targeted return date for ‘The Dream’. He was made ‘Champion In Recess’ by the WBC in June, after claiming he wanted to take a break from the sport following his showdown with Garcia.
