Joshua vs. Whyte Fight Gauge

Paul Johnson, Staff Writer

Dillian Whyte has talked a lot in the run up to this fight, and he’s not done a great job of coming across as composed and ready for his biggest fight.

Instead, he’s been found wearing bizarrely oversized purple suit jackets and offering Anthony Joshua out while filming for the promotion of the event. None of this is going to save him come fight night.

He’s too small, has too many holes in his game, and won’t be able to withstand the Joshua assault. I’ve not joined everyone in Britain in the Joshua Hype Tree, and I think he needs to be tested before I will be, but Whyte will not be the guy to do that.

Joshua by knockout, maybe inside four rounds.

Prediction: Joshua

Alex Burgos, Editor-in-Chief

Dillian Whyte talks a hell of a good game, and he may or may not have gotten under Anthony Joshua’s skin in the build up to this fight, but I just don’t think that’ll be enough.

When it comes down to styles, I think Joshua is all wrong for Whyte–who is a bit raw.

I like Joshua to end the year emphatically and stop Whyte midway through.
