Tyson Fury is just days away from attempting to avenge his first career defeat.
‘The Gypsy King’ rematches heavyweight rival Oleksandr Usyk for the unified heavyweight championship on Saturday night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The pair clashed for the first time back in May, with the Ukrainian hero picking up a split decision victory over Fury and becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the ‘four belt era’.
The 36-year old Brit has been working hard behind the scenes as he sets his sights on avenging his maiden career defeat and becoming world heavyweight champion once again.
It could have been very different for Fury in the first encounter with Usyk, after a strong start by ‘The Gypsy King’ was eventually overruled by a late flurry from his opponent which proved to be the difference on the scorecards.
Another heavyweight that has been linked with a clash with Fury is two-time heavyweight champion and fellow Brit, Anthony Joshua.
‘AJ’ suffered a shock defeat to newly crowned IBF heavyweight king Daniel Dubois back in September, which has casted some doubt over the career of the Olympic gold medalist and where his career can go from here.
In a feature with Sky Sports Boxing, Fury was asked to give one word to sum up his British counterpart and his response was as colourful as ever.
“Dosser!”
Rumours of an all-British mega fight between Fury and Joshua continue to fly around, with the pair remaining on a collision course for what could end up being the biggest fight in British boxing history.
