Oleksandr Usyk Is Certain Who Wins Canelo vs Terence Crawford: “He’s A Different Fighter”

Rumours of a mega fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford have began to intensify.

A contest between the pound for pound stars is reportedly being targeted to take place in the first few months of 2025, with Turki Alalshikh once again expressing his desire to get a deal for the fight over the line.

Crawford has had a blockbuster few years in the sport, finally becoming the undisputed welterweight champion in July 2023 when he defeated Errol Spence Jr in a ninth round stoppage at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Canelo has also enjoyed similar successes to ‘Bud’, after the Mexican icon became undisputed super middleweight champion on November 6 2021, when he stopped Caleb Plant in the eleventh round of their showdown at the MGM Grand.

Another man who knows a thing or two about being an undisputed champion is Oleksandr Usyk, who achieved that status at both cruiserweight and more recently heavyweight, when he defeated Tyson Fury in May of this year, clinching all four of the coveted world heavyweight titles.

Speaking to the 3 Knockout Rule, Usyk predicted a win for the 37-year old Crawford if the fight were to take place in the near future.

“I say Terence wins. Terence is a different man. Terence works in two sides on the right and the left.

He feels the distance. Terence can box like a big guy.”

‘Bud’ became WBO super-welterweight champion in August when he outpointed Israil Madrimov in Los Angeles, and the American is now expected to make a return to the ring in either April or May 2025, with Canelo emerging as an option for the four weight world champion, in what would be a dream fight for boxing fans around the globe.
