Jake Paul picked up his latest win as a professional boxer last month with a controversial victory over heavyweight legend Mike Tyson.

The YouTube star turned professional fighter has fought twelve times since his debut in January 2020, but has at times faced criticism for his choice of opponents.

The 27 year old has faced an array of MMA legends such as Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz and Tyron Woodley, with his most recent win coming against heavyweight boxing great Tyson, who he defeated over eight rounds at the AT&T Stadium in Texas last month.

One man who has welcomed the idea of a showdown with ‘The Problem Child’ is another boxing legend, with former four weight world champion Roy Jones Jr emerging as a potential future opponent of the social media sensation.

Jones enjoyed a highly accomplished career, fighting 76 times as a professional along the way, suffering just ten defeats. The 55 year old made a brief move into exhibition boxing, which is where he clashed with ‘Iron’ Mike, going the distance with the youngest heavyweight champion ever at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Jones Jr shared his thoughts on Paul’s performance against Tyson, revealing he would be interested in challenging the 27 year old if the opportunity arises.

“I don’t think Mike checked his chin at all.

So, I wouldn’t mind having a shot to see if I could get to his chin, to test his chin. He takes the shot, cool. Or if he can catch me before I can get to his chin, cool. But I would definitely like a shot to get in there and shoot at his chin, you know?”

Paul’s next opponent is yet to be revealed, with a long list of fighters appearing to be interested in a showdown with the 27 year old.
