Terence Crawford has won everything there is to win as a professional fighter.
The 37-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska has enjoyed a glittering career where he has won all 41 of his bouts, as well as achieving undisputed champion status at super lightweight and welterweight.
He became a four weight world champion last summer, when he dethrone WBA light middleweight champion Israil Madrimov in Los Angeles.
It’s no secret that ‘Bud’ has entered the final chapter of his career, as he targets the biggest fights and best opponents available to him before he walks away from the sport.
Step forward reigning WBO super lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez, who is targeting a showdown with the pound-for-pound superstar in 2025.
Speaking to BoxNation, Lopez was asked to name the one fighter he wants to come up against this year, as he name drops Crawford as a potential opponent.
“One of the top, top ones but right now since Canelo is here would be Crawford.”
‘The Takeover’ also revealed he would also be interested in facing both Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney in the near future.
“If it’s not Crawford, Gervonta Davis, and Devin Haney.”
On all three, Lopez wasn’t holding back on what would happen when they get in he ring with him
“They talking a lot so I think we just gotta execute them.”
Haney, who is the current WBC ‘Champion In Recess’ at super lightweight, revealed that Lopez had recently turned down an offer to fight him next after Turki Alalshikh made an approach to the two-weight world champion from Brooklyn, New York.
Lopez’s next opponent is still yet to be confirmed, with a number of potential opponents remaining open to a showdown with the 27-year-old.
