Thursday, December 18, 2014, Nick Arce (1-0, 1 KO) officially signed with Golden Boy Promotions.
“[We’re] Excited to welcome eighteen-year-old Nick Arce of Los Angeles to the Golden Boy team today too! Looking forward to big things from this rising star!,” the promotional company said via their social media outlets.
Arce, who is trained by the Saucedo Brothers out of the Westside Boxing Club in Los Angeles, California, made his professional debut on November 13 against Adalbert Valenzuela.
In front of an early crowd of over 100 of his supporters, Arce stopped Valenzuela in the fourth round after he landed a right hand and left hook combination that dropped Valenzuela for the second time in that round.
Referee Jack Reiss, after seeing that Valenzuela could no longer continue, immediately stopped the fight.
“I’m excited and I’m happy to join the team. We’ve been working very hard for this day and we can’t wait for what the future will bring,” said Arce.
