Super prospect Oleksandr Usyk has a chance to win a world title in just his tenth professional bout.

The Olympic Gold Medalist will face WBO cruiserweight champion Krzysztof Glowacki (25-0, 16 KOs) in April or May, according to Ukrainian newspaper Zerkalo Nedeli.

James Ali Bashir, Usyk’s trainer, told the publication that his man would also likely make his United States debut.

Usyk, 28, is undefeated at 9-0 since turning pro in 2013. He won three fights last year, stopping every single one inside of eight rounds.

His latest ring appearance saw Usyk toy and destroy Cuban journeyman Pedro Rodriguez, another defense of the WBO Inter-Continental trinket.

Glowacki is a big step up from Rodriguez for Usyk. The Polish champion is the No. 1 cruiserweight in the world after knocking out longtime champion Marco Huck on Spike TV in August.

The back-and-forth action was the favorite to win Fight of the Year honors until November when Francisco Vargas and Takashi Miura threw down. Their sixth round, in particular, was sensational. ESPN called it the best round of 2015.

ESPN’s Dan Rafael had praise for Usyk, too, naming him the No. 4-ranked prospect in the sport.

While Usyk didn’t top the list, no one ranked above him can match his amateur pedigree.

Usyk, who is best friends with WBO featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko, is not only a gold medalist at the Olympic limit of 201 pounds but also a European champion at light heavyweight and won the 2012-2013 World Series of Boxing tournament at super heavyweight.

There is no word on what network will be picking up the title fight.

Usyk, though, is currently signed under K2 promotions who also manage household names Gennady Golovkin and Wladimir Klitschko, two HBO regulars.

Hopefully Usyk can land a spot on there too.
