Orlando Salido spoke with Boxing Scene this week and let it be known that he thinks he can score a late knockout of heavily-hyped former two-time Olympic gold medalist, Vasyl Lomachenko.

The Top Rank promotional machine obviously has a lot of faith in Lomachenko, throwing him in with the veteran Salido in only his second professional bout.

Salido holds the WBO Featherweight title and will be a stern test for Lomachenko. Below is what Salido had to say regarding Saturday night’s fight.

I believe that it will be a war, because he likes to stand [and trade] a little. He is fast and throws many combinations but I also have my [combination]. I’m going to get in that ring, throw punches and give everything of myself. I believe that this will be a real test for him. Against Ramirez we didn’t see too much. Besides [Ramirez] was a fighter without a lot of power and he was too small [for the weight]. I think the longer the fight goes, the more chances I will have. In fact, I believe that if the fight stretches out I can beat him by knockout.
