Vergil Ortiz vs. Juan Carlos Salgado
Vergil Ortiz made the most of his first headlining fight on ESPN as he took on Juan Carlos Salgado in three rounds.
Ortiz was patient and calculated and eventually trapped Salgado against the ropes, landing a vicious shot to the solar plexus.
Ortiz improves to 10-0, 10 KOs and still has not gone past three rounds.
Hector Tanajara vs. Roger Gutierrez
In the co-main event of the evening, Hector Tanajara scores an eight-round unanimous decision over Roger Gutierrez.
Meiirim Nursultanov vs. Josue Obando
Meiirim Nursultanov scores a sixth-round TKO victory over Josue Obando.
“I wasn’t able to finalize matters until the very end of the fight,” said Nursultanov. “He has a very awkward style, which made me take long to really find him. I’ll be back on in August.”
Ferdinand Kerobyan vs. Edgar Ivan Garcia
Ferdinand Kerobyan scores a second-round knockout of Edgar Ivan Garcia.
“I wanted to show that not only am I powerful, but I’m also very fast,” said Kerobyan. “I never consider any opponent easy, especially since anyone in the ring can hurt you if you’re not careful. I want a world title in the future, and I’m ready to do what’s necessary to get that.”
