PBC on Bounce: Thompson vs. Scott Results 

Friday, October 30, 2015, Premier Boxing Champions invaded The Venue at UCF in Orlando, Florida as Tony “The Tiger” Thompson took on Malik “King” Scott in a battle of American heavyweight contenders.

Tony Thompson vs. Malik Scott

Malik Scott edged out Tony Thompson by unanimous decision in the main event on PBC on Bounce.

Haskell Rhodes vs. Sergey Lipinets

The scheduled 10-round co-main event featured a pair of super lightweights with Lydell Rhodes (23-1-1, 11 KOs) matched against Sergey Lipinets (8-0, 6 KOs).

The judges scored the decision unanimously in favor of Lipinets 96-93, 98-91 and 98-91.

Gervonta Davis vs. Cristobal Cruz

Gervonta Davis stopped the tough, veteran Mexican Cristobal Cruz with a vicious uppercut in Round 3.

Javontae Starks vs. Samuel Figueroa

PBC’s first televised fight of the evening was an eight round welterweight action as Javontae Starks (13-1, 7 KOs) faced undefeated southpaw Samyel “El Macho” Figueroa (10-0, 4 KOs).

The first three rounds provided entertaining back-and-forth action with the edge in accuracy likely in favor of Starks, while Figueroa provided the aggression.

Figueroa began landing more cleanly and with greater frequency over the next two rounds with the sixth being relatively even.

It remained a competitive, pitched battle until the final bell. The judges ultimately scored in favor of Figueroa by scores of 78-74, 77-75, 77-75.

Miguel Cruz vs. Anthony Abbruzzese

In a welterweight bout scheduled for six rounds Miguel Cruz (11-0, 10 KOs) flattened Anthony Abbruzzese (4-4, 3 KOs) with a left hook in the opening stanza.

Abbruzzese rose on rubbery legs prompting the referee to call a halt to the fight.

James McGirt vs. Demetrius Walker

Super middleweights James McGirt Jr. (24-3-1, 13 KOs) and Demetrius Walker (15-6-1, 14 KOs) were first to enter the ring for scheduled six round action.

McGirt dominated from the opening bell and scored a unanimous decision by scores of 59-53, 59-53, 60-52.

Antonio Russell vs. Eduardo Melendez

Gary Russell (5-0, 4 KOs) squared off with Eduardo Melendez (5-18, 1 KO) in early bantamweight action scheduled for four rounds.

Russell dropped Melendez with a low blow then knocked him down twice in Round 2.

Melendez also went down from a low blow in the third before being dropped with a chopping right prompting a stoppage by the referee at 1:41 of the round.

Mercio Figueroa vs. Kevin Miller

Cruiserweight Mercio Figueroa (2-0, 2 KOs) stepped in front of his hometown fans to stop Kevin Miller (0-2) in two rounds.
