On Saturday, August 6, 2016, Bilal Mahasin (9-3-1, 1 KO) took on Luis Alfredo Lugo (14-26-1, 5 KOs) in a scheduled four-round bout on the Andre Ward vs. Alexander Brand undercard.
The fight remained competitive throughout, but Mahasin was able to out-work Lugo with the more effective punches.
Mahasin earned a unanimous-decision victory.
