On Saturday, August 6, 2016, Daniel Franco (14-0-3, 9 KOs) took on Marcello Gallardo (7-4-2, 3 KOs) in a scheduled eight-round bout on the Andre Ward vs. Alexander Brand undercard.
Franco stopped Gallardo at the 2:16 mark of Round 5 to remain undefeated.
