Las Vegas, NV (Dec. 2, 2016) – 17-year-old Puerto Rican prospect Joseph ‘Blessed Hands’ Adorno has signed a multi-year promotional contract with Top Rank, the company that is led by Hall of Fame promoter, Bob Arum.

Adorno, who was born in Union City, New Jersey, but was raised in ‘The Island of Enchantment’ Puerto Rico, is an outstanding fighter that competed in 200 amateur fights and amassed a record of: 178-22, and 65 knockouts.

“I can do it all in the ring, but my main plan is to stay calm, use my jab and a lot of hard combinations. If I have to box, I box. If I have to go get the fight, I go get the fight,” said Adorno about his fighting style.

The young fighter that will be co-managed and co-trained by his father, Anibal Adorno, and “2012 Trainer of the Year” Robert Garcia, is an accomplished amateur standout that competed and won medals in multiple national amateur tournaments, such as: 2016 National Golden Gloves Championship (132 pounds – Bronze Medal), 2015 Junior Olympic National Championship (125 pounds – Gold Medal), 2015 USA Junior National Championship (125 pounds – Gold Medal).

“He’s got a bright future. He has tremendous skills with a beautiful left hook to the body. I’m looking forward to his future in boxing. He is a young kid with so much talent and dedication. He is just 17 years old and still a senior in High School, but his focus is 100% at his pro debut,” said trainer and co-manager, Robert Garcia.

Adorno will make his professional debut tonight against Guy Newman in a junior lightweight rumble that will take place at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.
