Rances Barthelemy (21-0, 12 KOs) retained his IBF Super Featherweight title against an overmatched Fernando David Saucedo (52-6-3, 8 KOs) at the Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

The twelve-round fight was the main event of a card presented by Showtime Boxing and Warriors Boxing promotions.

Barthelemy easily won every round against an iron-chinned but overmatched Saucedo, who could not deal with Barthelemy’s jab, footwork, and reach advantage.

It also helped that in 60 fights, Saucedo only had eight knockouts and thus posed no threat to Barthelemy.

Barthelemy, who hails from Arroyo Naranjo, Cuba, will now hopefully seek to defend his title in bigger and better fights.

The 28-year-old titlist could have the likes of Orlando Salido or Mikey Garcia in his future, who hold the WBO and interim WBO Super Featherweight titles respectively.
