On Friday, January 29, 2016, Julian Ramirez took on Christopher Martin in a 10-round Super Featherweight fight at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, California.
In the co-main event, Featherweight contender Abraham Lopez took on Carlos Valcarcel in a 10-round Featherweight fight.

Ramirez gets the win via 10-round unanimous decision. Two judges scored the fight 100-90, while one judge scored it 99-91–all for Ramirez. Ramirez had no trouble in this fight, and imposed his will with short shots on the inside throughout the fight. Abraham Lopez vs. Carlos Valcarcel, 10 rounds, Featherweights

After seven dominant rounds, Lopez wins via TKO. Valcarel landed big in Round 1, but wasn’t able to follow it as Lopez dominated both on the inside and outside for the rest of the fight.
After a Round 7 in which Lopez landed vicious shots to the body, Varcarcel was no longer able to continue and retired on his stool.
Edgar Valerio vs. Justin Lopez, 6 rounds, Super Featherweights
Valerio scored a first-round knockout against Lopez.
Jonathan Navarro vs. Carlos Rodriguez, 6 rounds, Super Lightweights
Navarro scored a second-round knockout against Rodriguez.
“I came into the fight calm and steady,” said Jonathan Navarro. “I wanted to make sure I measured my opponent. After the first round I had a good idea on what I needed to do to keep my undefeated record.”
Joshua Franco vs. Juan Benavides, 6 rounds, Super Flyweights
Franco scored a six-round unanimous decision victory against Benavides.
“I am glad I got the decision, but I feel like my performance could have been better. He was a tough opponent for me and I feel like I need to go back to the gym and make sure to work on my defense,” said Franco.
Pablo Rubio Jr. vs. Bryan Perez, 4 rounds, junior featherweights
Rubio scored a second-round knockout against Perez.
“I was very excited about my first fight of 2016 and was filled with a fury to take him out early. In the end we all have great respect for each other and I look forward to the next fight and more victories this year,” said Rubio.
