RESULTS:
Andre Berto vs. Victor Ortiz
Berto stops Ortiz in Round 4. Round-by-round analysis:
Round 1: Smart boxing from Berto in Round 1. Berto uses his distance from the shoulder stance and attempts to land short counter right hands. Berto jabs the entire round and Victor looks for opportunities. During one exchange, Ortiz clashes heads with Berto and is cut above the left side of his head.
Round 2: Ortiz starts well with left hand shots. Ortiz outboxes Berto for the whole round using his footwork and a pawing jab. Ortiz then lands a hard left hand that drops Berto before the round ends.
Round 3: It was a close round. Ortiz boxed and looked for left hands while Berto came forward. Berto wins the pound based on agression, but he’s having trouble coming forward.
Round 4. Berto drops Ortiz with a right hand to start the round. Berto goes for the kill and drops him again. Ortiz gets up by the ten-count but he is clearly done. This fight is over.
