Richardson Hitchins Remains Undefeated

2016 Olympian Richardson Hitchins (5-0, 3 KOs) stopped Alexander Charneco (4-5, 2 KOs) in the first round with a vicious body shot on the Adrien Broner-Jessie Vargas undercard at Barclays Center in his native Brooklyn, NY. The official time of the stoppage was 1:17.

The 20-year-old Hitchins came out of his corner more composed than in recent bouts when he rushed his opponents looking to end the bout quick. In this case while lading precision right hands he found an opening to land a left hook to the body which sent Charneco down withering in pain.

The young Puerto Rican fighter made no attempt to get up and stayed down long after the referee waived the bout off.

Hitchins has now made five consecutive appearances at Barclays center since turning pro after competing at the Rio Olympics representing his parents birth country of Haiti.
