Ryan Garcia, or King Ry as he is referred to by his millions of fans, continues to make headlines. This time it’s for his huge promotional pact with Gatorade.
“Hyped to announce that @kingryan has officially joined the Gatorade squad. What’s good, king?”
According to Boxing Scene, it seems as though Garcia has been trying to get Gatorade’s attention for quite sometime.
“A few years ago, I posted on social and tagged Gatorade to get their attention, so being the first professional boxer to sign a national deal in the U.S. with them is a dream that turned into a reality,” said Garcia.
With this major sponsorship deal, Garcia continues to prove that not only is he signed to Golden Boy Promotions, but he IS boxing’s new Golden Boy.
“Bringing Ryan on at the national level in the U.S. only strengthens that commitment, and it is a testament to his talent and work ethic,” ssaid Jeff Kearney, Gatorade global head of sports marketing.
Garcia’s next fight has still not been announced, but it is rumored to be an exhibition versus the legendary, Manny Pacquiao.
