The delayed press conference for the highly anticipated grudge match between Billy Joe Saunders and Chris Eubank Jr. finally took place on Thursday, October 16, 2014. But unfortunately just like the press conference that preceded it, one of the fighters was not able to attend to promote their showdown which is due to take place on November 29 live and exclusive on Box Nation.

Back at the presser in September, Eubank Jr. left Saunders frustrated after not showing up, leaving the fight in doubt. This time it was Saunders who wasn’t in London as he has been training in the MGM gym in Marbella. In spite of this, the press conference still went ahead as planed.

“It’s going to be beautiful to be able to take the belts home with me on November 29,” said Eubank Jr., who was supremely confident–as usual–on what the result will be come fight night.

“This has captured the public interest, a rivalry like with Saunders is what every fighter dreams of.”

The dapper Chris Eubank Sr. was also on hand at his son’s side, his usual, casual and elegant self, eager to explain to everyone that his son is in no way afraid of Saunders.

“We’re not running away from Saunders, were running to him,” advised Eubank Sr.

Although Billy Joe could not make it to today’s presser, there was no way he could miss the opportunity to face his fierce nemesis, as the reigning European champion crashed the press conference via Skype, giving the Eubank clan both barrels, and then some.

“Why have you not turned up at a press conference before when I was at them,” said an animated Saunders. “You wanna stop fighting dead bodies, get in the ring to fight me don’t run around scared like the pussy you are, your a little boy.”

The 25 year old from Brighton is still scheduled to fight on October 25 in Liverpool, but Saunders wants there to be no excuses come fight night and had a proposition for his opponent.

“I’ll give you 20 grand not to fight in Liverpool, do you want that deal today? the public don’t want you to make any excuses,” said an angry Saunders.

It seemed that Eubank Sr. had had enough Saunders, attempting to call a halt to the video, however the insults continued and Saunders finally got to have his say to the foe who has been eluding him for so long, even going as far to say he will retire if he loses.

Promoter Frank Warren was well aware of the magnitude of this mammoth bill on November 29, but he seemed to lose his cool after a remark by the unpredictable Eubank Sr., who confirmed there would be no final presser on fight week.

“If there is no final press conference I do not know where I am with this then, its not good enough for me, not good enough for the press and not good enough for the public. It’s wrong and you know it’s wrong, it just demonstrates that you are being awkward for no reason, its crazy stuff,” said a clearly riled Warren, who stopped the proceedings immediately after Eubank Sr.’s bombshell.

There are almost six weeks now until Billy Joe Saunders and Chris Eubank Jr. do come face to face in a boxing ring to settle their well publicized differences. Nevertheless, seeing the unpredictability of the elder Eubank, this fight could be very much doomed to fail before it starts with outrageous demands that will ultimately leave Warren with no other option but to cancel the fight.

Hopefully though, the mind games have all been played and the only thing left to do is fight. However, when Chris Eubank Sr. is involved, everything is not what it seems.

Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora plus Billy Joe Saunders vs. Chris Eubank Jr. will take place at the Excel Arena on November 29, 2014 live and exclusively on the channel of champions Box Nation.
