Emanuel Navarete vs. Uriel Lopez
It was exactly what everyone was expecting. Pure domination from Emanuel Navarete (32-1, 28 KOs) against Uriel Lopez (13-14-1, 6 KOs). Navarete started off slow as if to take it easy on his opponent, but he slowly picked things up during the half way point of the contest as he began putting his punches together. The result of those combinations were a Navarete stoppage win which occurred in the sixth round due to a body shot.
Ivan Armando Garcia vs. Roberto Palomares
Ivan Armando (6-0, 3 KOs) left the ring in Mexico City with his record intact against Roberto Palomares but he looked far from impressive. Both fighters were similar in the way they decided to go about the contest. Simply put, they came in close and swung from the rafters.
In a very strange turn of events, the contest was changed from an eight rounder to a six rounder in the middle of the contest due to time constraints. But whether it was six rounds, eight rounds or one Armando was simply the better fighter and was awarded the victory. Two judges scoring the contest had it 59-55 while the third had it 59-56 for Armando.
Sergio Sanchez vs. Gustavo Pina
Sergio Sanchez (15-1, 9 KOs) had no intentions of spending a ton of time tonight in the ring in Mexico City. His opponent, Gustavo Pina found out exactly why as he was on the wrong end of a left hand that sent him down and out. Pino stayed motionless on the ground as the referee waved off the contest
Edwin Palomares vs. Carlos Ornelas
Edwin Palomares (13-3-1, 4 KOs) made the most of his TV time as he stopped Carlos Palomares in the co main event in Mexico City tonight. The stoppage came seemingly out of nowhere as Palomares scored a body shot that sucked the air right out of his man. He managed to get back to his feet but the contest was over as his corner jumped onto the apron to call an end to it.
