LOS ANGELES, CA (May 18, 2021): Undefeated contender Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (42-0, 28 KOs) made his Golden Boy debut in a Mexico vs. Cuba battle against Sullivan Barrera (22-4, 14 KOs) in a Light Heavyweight bout that was scheduled for 12 rounds.
Zurdo did not waste any time going to the body, and behind three knockdowns, stopped Barrera via KO at 1:38 of Round 4.
“I’m going to take all the belts [at 175]. Bivol, you’re next,” said Zurdo.
