Saturday, June 7, 2014, the most highly-anticipated bout of 2014 finally goes down live from Madison Square Garden as Miguel Cotto (38-4, 31 KOs) challenges longstanding Middleweight kingpin Sergio Martinez (51-2-2, 28 KOs).

The bout–promoted by Miguel Cotto Promotions, Top Rank, DiBella Entertainment and Sampson Boxing, in association with Maravilla Box, Tecate and Madison Square Garden–is being shown live on HBO Pay-Per-View beginning at 9:00 pm, EST.

Cotto–of Caguas, Puerto Rico–comes into the fight as the challenger but in essence is the star of the show. He has sold more tickets at “The Mecca of Boxing,” Madison Square Garden, than any other fighter in this millennium.

By defeating Martinez, Cotto would become Puerto Rico’s first four-division world champion.

Martínez–of Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentina–impressively has never lost a world championship fight and looks to set critics straight who say his best days are behind him.

Martinez defends the Middleweight crown that he first won in 2010.

Read on for Round By Round Boxing‘s staff predictions for the epic matchup between Miguel Cotto and Sergio Martinez.
