In a fight that served up as much jaw-jabbing as actual jabbing, Terrell Gausha (20-0, 9 KOs) defeated Luis Hernandez (15-4, 8 KOs) handily on the undercard of Robert Easter Jr.’s title defense.

The victory came with a dash of anxiety however as in the third round, Hernandez caught Gausha with a solid overhand right, putting Gausha down. Gausha got back on his feet, but found himself in some trouble for the next minute as he struggled to regain his legs.

By the next round, Gausha was back in form and managed to outbox Hernandez for the remainder of the bout.

The ninth round brought trouble for Hernandez as Gausha battered him with straights and overhand shots, but Hernandez weathered the storm as Gausha appeared to punch himself out, screaming with every successive punch.

The three judges at ringside scored the bout unanimously in favor of Gausha with scores of 98-91, and 97-92 twice.
