UNDEFEATED OHIOANS ALBERT BELL AND JARED ANDERSON HANDLE MAIN ATTRACTION DUTIES AT HOME IN TOLEDO FRIDAY, MARCH 13 AT PULSE BOXING’S ‘NIGHT OF CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING’
Undefeated Super Featherweight “Prince” Albert Bell returns to the ring this Friday evening at the SeaGate Convention Centre in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio in the main event of Pulse Boxing‘s “A Night of Championship Boxing” card.
Last June Bell (16-0, 5 KOs) upset then undefeated Andy Vences (22-1-1, 12 KOs) in Las Vegas, Nevada to claim his first title – the WBC Continental Americas Super Featherweight championship. Four months later in October, the 27-year old Ohioan soundly defeated veteran Frank De Alba (23-5-2, 9 KOs) by unanimous decision. Both of those fights took place in Nevada, and Bell seemed like an ideal candidate for a bout on February’s Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury card at the MGM’s Grand Garden Arena.
Unfortunately, Bell’s rise to the No. 15 spot on the WBC’s Super Featherweight rankings didn’t result in a third consecutive appearance on one of ESPN‘s platforms – linear or the ESPN+ app. Instead, Bell returns as the main event in a familiar setting, but does so with some hardware around his waist. He’ll also be joined by promising Heavyweight sensation Jared “Big Baby” Anderson, with the 6-foot 4-inch 20-year old looking for his fourth win in the co-main event.
Friday evening, Bell returns to the SeaGate Convention Centre, for his fifth appearance at the venue, to face Isaias Santos (21-15, 21 KOs). The 34-year old Brazilian has fought above the Super Featherweight 130-pound weight limit previously, and has been in the ring with several familiar names including current WBA (regular) Featherweight champion Can Xu in a 2016 decision loss.
In the co-main event, Anderson (3-0, 3 KOs) will seek his fourth win against 34-year old Lamarco Ellis (2-6-1, 1 KO) from Wilson, North Carolina. Back in January Anderson stopped Andrew Satterfield (5-4, 3 KOs) at 2:30 in the first round at Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York.
As a notable highlight outside of the ring, Anderson recently received high praise from promoter and CEO of Top Rank Bob Arum. Arum revealed the young fighter played an integral role in readying Tyson Fury for his stunning TKO7 performance that handed former WBC Heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder his first loss.

Pulse Boxing recently shared an update on its Instagram account regarding Friday night’s tentative lineup. In addition to Bell and Anderson, fans can check out Ohio-based talents such as Super Middleweight Antwan Jones (5-0, 2 KOs), southpaw Middleweight Adrian Wilson (5-1, 3 KOs) and Lightweight Hakeem Watkins (6-3, 6 KOs). Pulse’s IG post indicated other fights are pending Ohio Athletic Commission approval.
