In a war, WBC light flyweight champion Adrian “Confesor” Hernandez (28-2-1, 17 KOs) scored a fourth round KO over Atsushi Kakutani (13-4-1, 6 KOs) to retain his belt on Saturday night at the Gimnasio San Juan de la Barrera in Mexico City.
In a clash filled with vicious exchanges, Hernandez recovered from a first round knockdown to drop Kakutani three times in round four. The bout was finally waved off by referee Jerry Cantu at 1:12.
