On Friday, April 1, 2016, Adrien Broner is scheuled to take on Ashley Theophane in the main event of Premier Boxing ChampionsPBC on Spike series.

The bout, and Broner’s freedom, are in serious doubt according to a report from TMZ that states that Broner has been charged with felonious assault and aggravated robbery and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Broner, who allegedly beat a man up outside a Cincinnati bowling alley in January, has been in the news multiple times in the past few weeks–and not for boxing reasons.

Broner was recently featured in an obnoxious video where he threw his change at a Walmart cashier and faced some backlash from fans as well as none other than Floyd Mayweather.

But a criminal charge is bigger than making it rain at Walmart. According to the court documents obtained by TMZ, things may be getting really ugly for Broner soon.

“[Broner] retrieved a handgun from his vehicle, approached the victim, demanded money, then struck [the victim] in the face with a closed fist a second time, this time causing the victim to be rendered unconscious. Broner was then observed taking money out of the victim’s pockets while he was unconscious before fleeing the scene,” (per TMZ).

The documents also make note of the fact that Broner is a professional boxer and is trained on how to cause serious physical harm to another person.

ESPN‘s Dan Rafael apparently tried to get the scoop directly from Broner, but was only given dee… well, read for yourself.
