On Saturday, February 2, 2019, Teofimo Lopez put on another show.
His opponent, Diego Magdaleno was tough, much too tough for his own good. Magdaleno had nobody looking out for him and in turn took a vicious beat down, primarily in the seventh round when he was knocked out.
After the bout, Andre Ward and Tim Bradley were especially critical of trainer Ismael Salas and referee Gregorio Alvarez.
“He will be affected by this for the rest of his life,” said Bradley. “The seventh round should of never taken place,” said Ward.
