Round By Round Boxing caught up with acclaimed international model and Corona ring girl, Tawny Jordan Ring.

Find out how Tawny got her start as a ring girl, what it was like working the Floyd Mayweather vs. Canelo Alvarez press tour and more!

Round By Round Boxing: So you’re an International Model, Actress, Corona Ring Girl.. I’m tempted to ask what don’t you do? Having said all that, how did you get started with being a Corona Ring Girl?

Tawny Jordan Ring: I first became a Corona Ring Girl after I was offered the position by Friasworks. My first event was the Press Conference for Mayweather vs. Canelo in Chicago last year. I had an amazing experience and ever since then I’ve been working with them.

RBRBoxing: You mentioned that you worked as a ring girl during “The One: Mayweather vs. Canelo” tour. Describe the magnitude of that event and the overall experience.

TJR: Working the Mayweather vs. Canelo tour was absolutely exciting! The crowd from the Press Conference in Chicago was full of energy and passion. I remember all the lights flashing from the cameras and the crowd rooting for their favorite fighters, I haven’t seen anything like it at that time. It was such an honor to be up there on that stage to represent Corona.

RBRBoxing: What’s your favorite part about being a Ring Card girl?

TJR: My favorite part about being a Ring Card girl is walking in the boxing ring. I can’t stop smiling when I’m working because I love what I do.

RBRBoxing: I read that you’re mixed with Filipino, Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, Irish and German. Do you gravitate more towards a particular culture or do you relate to a little bit of all of them?

TJR: I gravitate more towards my Filipino side. Growing up I would always eat Filipino food, dance their cultural dances at parties, I sang in Tagalog (which is one of the dialects in the Philippines) and just being surrounded by my family and friends. I love my culture and one day I will teach my children as well.

RBRBoxing: Nice! So would you say you’re a boxing fan?

TJR: I’m definitely a boxing fan! The fights are intense and when working you can’t help but get into it.

RBRBoxing: Nice, so if you weren’t a model, what would you be doing?

TJR: Good question! If I wasn’t a model I would be rehabbing homes. I find myself watching HGTV and DIY television shows a lot. I still plan on doing that one day, but I’m focusing on my modeling career right now and I’m enjoying every minute of it!

RBRBoxing: What are some things you want to do professionally that you still haven’t accomplished?

TJR: I still would love to accomplish walking the runway for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Miami, grace the cover of some of my favorite magazines and keep traveling to more exotic places.

RBRBoxing: Where can people check you out?

TJR:
