Salinas got his shot at the WBA Super Bantamweight World Title in 2013 against Scott Quigg, delivering an action-packed and equally matched fight that resulted in a draw.  Now coming off of a victory against Ricardo Alvarado in April of 2015, Salinas is determined to prove he is still in the title game when he goes up against Manuel “Tino” Avila for the vacant Interim NABF Super Bantamweight Title.

The undefeated standout Manuel “Tino” Avila of Fairfield, Calif. has taken the local boxing scene by storm since his professional debut at Fight Night Club at Club Nokia in Los Angeles in 2010. 2014 was a busy year for Avila, as he took on and defeated Enrique Quevedo, David De La Mora, and Sergio Frias.  In his first bout of 2015, the Fairfield, Calif. native defeated Erick Ruiz, via unanimous decision on May 7. Now, facing the toughest opponent of his career in the experienced Yoandris Salinas, Avila is ready to prove that he has what it takes to become a world champion on August 8.
