A Blowout In The Making
If you’re going to take Bleacher Report’s word for it, this may not be a close fight at all.
Though the site’s preview acknowledges that Amir Khan has the star power to make for an appropriate matchup with Canelo Alvarez, it also argues that the sum of Khan’s body, skill and ability does not add up to a credible opponent.
That’s a pretty harsh statement for a boxer with Khan’s pedigree, even if in this instance many would argue it’s a fair assessment.
The preview goes on to call Khan brave for agreeing to the fight; it suggests we might snicker at the possibility of what will happen to him; and it calls the idea that Khan might stand a chance “foolish.”
It’s no secret that Canelo is a strong favorite this weekend, but this is about as lopsided a preview as you’ll find for a main card boxing event.
