FRANK “Notorious” GALARZA
RETURNS TO THE RING JANUARY 17TH ON SHOBOX

January 5th, 2014 – Brooklyn’s rising star and undefeated power punching prospect, Frank “Notorious” Galarza (11-0-2, 7 KOs), promoted by New Legend Boxing, makes his return to the ring on Friday, January 17th, 2014 when he faces another prospect from Newark, New Jersey John “Apollo Kidd” Thompson (14-0, 5 KOs). The eight-round bout will take place at the Cook Convention Center in Memphis, Tennessee and will be broadcast on ShowBox as a co-feature bout. DiBella Entertainment, Greg Cohen Promotions and GH3 Promotions will co-promote the card.
After scoring a 4th round TKO against undefeated Rich Neves (6-0-1, 3 KOs) last September, Galarza is excited to be fighting on his first nationally televised fight.
“I feel good and I’m in the best shape of my life,” said Frank Galarza. “I fought prospects before so this is nothing new to me, this is why we work so hard”. “I am always looking for the challenge to grow and get better in boxing”. “All I want is to be given a fair shake by the judges and the rest is up to me”.
