In a scheduled eight-round Super Welterweight clash, undefeated fan favorite Serhii ‘El Flaco’ Bohachuk, (14-0, 14 KOs) dropped Freddy Hernandez (34-11, 22 KOs) with a left hook to the body in Round 5.

Hernandez beat the count but referee Wayne Hedgpeth stopped the fight at 1:40 in the main event of 360 Promotions Hollywood Fight Nights at the Avalon.

“I was just boxing and doing my job,” said Bohachuk. “Freddie is a tough and great fighter. He is my toughest opponent.”

In the second round, Serhii Bohachuk dropped Hernandez with a counter right hand. Bohachuk’s left hook to the stomach dropped Hernandez to the canvas in the fifth round. Hernandez beat the count but that’s when the referee stopped it.

“He surprised me as I came to fight and win,” said Hernandez. “He confused me as he went to the head, but then attacked my body. He punishes both the head and body.”

Electrifying crowds in Southern California since his professional debut in February 2017, Bohachuk fought for the fifth time at Hollywood Fight Nights.

In March he continued his knockout streak, stopping contender Cleotis Pendarvis in the third round. Bohachuk is trained by Abel Sanchez in Big Bear Lake, California.
