WHAT: SHOWTIME Sports has released part two of the digital franchise THE RISE which profiles boxing’s stars as they grind their way to the top.

The current three-part installment features 24-year-old undisputed middleweight world champion Claressa Shields as she prepares to make history in her sixth headlining appearance on SHOWTIME this Saturday, October 5 (9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT).

In part two, viewers are introduced to Shields’ trainer, former world champion and highly regarded John David Jackson, who refers to himself as Shields’ technical advisor. The pair reflect on two of their most important fights to date, when Shields overcame a knockdown to defeat Hanna Gabriels and when she put in a dominating display over Christina Hammer to become the undisputed middleweight world champion.
