RISING FLYWEIGHT PROSPECT JAN SALVATIERRA RETURNS ON MARCH 29

Rising flyweight prospect Jan Salvatierra (6-0, 3 KOs) returns to the ring on March 29 in a six-round fight against Brayan Bautista Medieta (3-1-1, 2 KOs) at the Cancha Manuel Gomez Jimenez in Baja California, Mexico.

The fight will be streamed live on Facebook via Los Cabos TV.

“I’m very happy to be fighting on March 29,” said Salvatierra told RBRBoxing.com. “It will be against a very difficult opponent in Medieta, but I’m ready to step up in competition. I want to show people what I have been working on.”

Salvatierra’s career is managed by the Saucedo Brothers, a two-man management team that also owns and runs the Westside Boxing Club in Los Angeles, California.

Under their guidance, he has developed into a solid prospect with high hopes of becoming a world champion.

The 21-year-old started his professional career in June 2019 after a stellar amateur career in which he won tournaments both in Mexico and the United States.

Since his debut, Mexican-born puncher has remained undefeated and has even participated in two Golden Boy cards.

Now, he looks to continue his momentum as the world slowly begins to open following the COVID-19 pandemic.

“As always, we’re going to be training very hard because we want to deliver a great show. We want people walking away feeling happy that they took the time to see me.”

“And now that things are opening up around the world, I need to be prepared for any opportunities that will come.”
