Earlier today, the boxing world received some long awaited and great news. The highly anticipated matchup between Argentina’s Lucas Matthysse and Philadelphia’s Danny Garcia is officially on.
The bout will be the main undercard on the Floyd Mayweather versus Canelo Alvarez pay-per-view extravaganza. Can you feel my enthusiasm?
Well, I’m certainly not alone.
Matthysse versus Garcia solidifies this as the best boxing card in 2013, hands down. It also will help pay-per-view sales contest that of Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather’s lucrative record-breaking fight in 2007.
Septemeber can’t come soon enough.
Read on for the early social media response to the announcement of Matthysse and Garcia’s Jr. Welterweight unification bout.
So Garcia-Matthysse is being fought on the Mayweather-Canelo undercard is this real life?
