On Friday, April 1, 2016, Adrien Broner (31-2, 23 KOs) takes on Ashley Theophane (39-6-1, 11 KOs) in a 12-round championship bout from the DC Armory in Washington, DC.
Since it was announced, there has been a ton of drama surrounding the matchup, with Broner and Floyd Mayweather turning it up and trading barbs for the past few days.
On Thursday, Broner added another layer to the story as he came in over the 140 limit.
Broner (140.4) never came back to re-weigh & has been stripped of title. Theophane can win it. 2nd time Broner stripped for missing weight.
