In a recent Sky Sports interview, Anthony Joshua said the reason he lost to Andy Ruiz was because of a lucky punch sent by the Gods.

Not surprisingly, social media boxing heads are going in on Joshua.

And with good reason.

For those who may have forgotten all about the first fight, Ruiz scored four knockdowns and battered Joshua with his fast hands and vicious close-quarter combinations.

Ruiz also ate some big punches himself and was forced to climb off the canvas for the first time in his professional career.

Luck? I think not.

So does Anthony Joshua really believe what he’s saying? Only time will tell.

If Joshua thinks he can go into the second fight like he did the first one and simply avoid the “lucky punch,” then he’s got another thing coming.
