Artur Beterbiev (14-0, 14 KOs) retained his IBF Light Heavyweight title with a TKO stoppage victory over Radivoje “Hot Rod” Kalajdzic (24-2, 17 KOs) on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Stockton Arena in California.

Beterbiev started the fight throwing haymakers, trying to make quick work of Kalajdzic. He was extremely aggressive, more so than normal.

Kalajdzic never had the opportunity to find his rhythm and get comfortable. Beterbiev put the pressure on and never looked back.

Beterbiev had a very strong Round 3, knocking down Kalajdzic. Kalajdzic never recovered from the mauling he received in the third round. He was in survival mode, trying to swing back to keep Beterbiev at bay.

With the TKO stoppage in the fifth round, Beterbiev keeps his 100 percent KO ratio.

Beterbiev is a hard-hitting champion that most contenders can’t last a full 12 rounds with.

Beterbiev looks to unify one of the deepest divisions in boxing. The Light Heavyweight champions include Oleksandr Gvozdyk (17-0, 14 KOs), Dmitry Bivol (16-0, 11 KOs), and Sergey Kovalev (33-3-1, 28 KOs).
