Against Sam Eggington, this will be his IBF International Super-Welterweight title’s first defence. This will be held in Tuscany Hall located in Florence and will be shown live on DAZN. In April, the IBF ranking title was won by Arezzo’s Fiordigiglio against Stephen Danyo with a split second. The ex- WBO European Champion was overthrown in ten rounds and he earned the fifth title in his pro career. Eggington, who hails from Birmingham, is an erstwhile European Welterweight Champion.

Liam Smith, erstwhile European Welterweight Champion stopped Eggington at the M&S Bank Arena event. This boxing event was held in March, in Liverpool amidst huge excitement. However, Eggington bounced back to his winning streak with victory against Lewis van Poetsch and Jordan Grannum. Also, ex-European Super-Featherweight Champion Boschiero, will have a clash for the available IBF International Super-Featherweight title, against Ivan Tomas from Barcelona, over ten rounds. On September, fans will see Daniel Dubois versus Ebenezer Tetteh match in London, England.

Daniel Dubois has remained unbeaten and will fight against Ebenezer Tetteh of Ghana at the Royal Albert Hall in London. This is for the Commonwealth Heavyweight Title which was recently given off by Joe Joyce. On Saturday night, when Daniel Dubois struck down Nathan Gorman over five rounds, a new boxer came into the scene. This was a heavyweight division where he entered. Frank Bruno, an erstwhile heavyweight champion, of British origin knocked out Dubois. Meanwhile, Gorman consistently kept doing well with his quick hand movements in the first. Dubois very soon changed his movements and in the third, managed to knock him down.

When the fight between Daniel Dubois vs Ebenezer Tetteh was announced, Dubois said that he wanted to fight it out against Joe Joyce. However, the latter, a 2016 Olympic Silver medallist, stated that he had no interest in fighting Dubois, Joyce further clarified that he wanted to fight against world’s top contenders in order to rise in his ranking levels. Furthermore, he added that since Dubois was too young with his number 11 ranking and two years old pro career, his ranking would not push up Joyce. He could fight against Dubois and win against him but that would not increase his chances of a high ranking. On the other hand, as per Dubois, fighting Tetteh was a step towards the right direction in his career.

In an interview to IFL TV, Dubois stated that when the Gorman fight was on, there were a lot of speculations that took place around him. He gained a lot of attention and many people in the boxing fraternity started to recognize him. He also added that he loved being an underdog as he had valid chances to prove his doubters wrong. It was all for the title in Commonwealth Games that he wanted to fight against Tetteh and see where it all went.

According to a few insiders of the football industry, not fighting against Tetteh would do. Good for Dubois as the former was not even ranked in the world’s top 15. The whole topic of Daniel Dubois versus Ebenezer Tetteh is debatable. Some boxing fans say that Dubois should think of fighting strong contenders. With the big victory against Gorman, Dubois claimed the British Heavyweight Title which was vacant. There have been news that went on for many years, Dubois won against Anthony Joshua and also gave Tyson Fury a tough time.

He has been given an unofficial name as the upcoming King of Heavyweight Division, by Frank Warren, his promoter. Such dangerous are his punches and such is the passion that he has for the sport. After this, Dubois will also go for the World title honors which will be held next year. With complete faith in himself and his movements, Dubois says that there is maximum possibility that next year he can become a Champion.

Experts have said that Dubois should not waste his career simply at the domestic level and should go for bigger matches. While Joyce wants world class and renowned opponents, he feels that he would be wasting a match of his career with this fight. That being said, Dubois is satisfied fighting at the domestic levels against boxers like Nathan Gorman and Tetteh. Insiders have said that Joyce might stagnate his career’s last year’s if he fights against domestic level boxers. This, if done repeatedly at this stage, would not only stagnate but burn up his career.

While Dubois is not wrong on his part as he is going to turn 34 this year and wants to win the World Title. Consequently, he can start defending the title once he wins it as it is a big match next year. For Joyce too, it only makes sense that he fights against contenders who are ranked in the list of world’s top boxers. The top contenders are Agit Kabayel, Dereck Chisora and Manuel Charr. On being asked about Dillian Whyte, the British Heavyweight champion, who tested for drugs recently, he said all that can be done was to wait for the next step that the management takes. The upcoming match would be an interesting one to watch as there are many ups and downs connected to this fight.
