BLACK GLOVES PROMOTIONS PRESENTS: New Year’s Knockout
Dallas, TX – January 10, 2014 — Black Gloves Promotion is pleased to announce its first boxing event of the new year taking place on January 18, 2014 at the Palladium Ballroom in Dallas.
Black Gloves Promotion (BGP) will highlight ten fight card featuring a WBC Title defense by Charles “The Future” Hatley. Founded by Greg Hatley and the Hatley brothers, BGP is bringing live professional boxing to the DFW Metroplex and is also seeking to put Dallas on on the map as a boxing hotspot.
The Hatley family was featured on the HBO documentary “Sweet Science” when the brothers – also three generations of fighters – were filmed by Dallas’ own Chris Howell over the span of seven years. The documentary premiered in 2010 at the Dallas International Film Festival.

Middleweights:
Charles “The Future” Hatley (21-1 and 15 KO’s) vs. Mark “Poison” Suarez (25-4 and 13 KO’s)
Chris Jones (2-0-0 and 2 KO’s) vs. Jay Williams (1-1-0)
Light heavyweights:
Greg “The Technician” Hatley (11-1 and 7 KO’s) vs. Hector Hernandez (11-6-2 and 5 KO’s)
Heavyweights:
Greg “Bad News” Corbin (5-0-0 and 3 KO’s) vs. Jamal Woods (3-9-2 , 3 KO’s)
Doors open at 4:30pm and the main event begins at 8pm.
Special guests include Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Dewayne Harris and current WBC lightweight champion, Adrien Broner.
Tickets range in prices from $25 to ringside $125 per seat.
