Floyd Mayweather, “Broner Has a Lot of Growing up to Do”
Fight Hype recently caught up with retired boxing star Floyd Mayweather and asked about Adrien Broner’s choice of words for saying “F*** The Money Team,” and what’s causing tension between big bro and little bro. All this was started after Broner took to his Twitter account for a rant. We’re not really sure why Broner said the things he did, but no one can understand a lot of what Broner does anyway.
“I don’t know, I really don’t know. Some of these fighters, we spoil them too much. I’m being honest, me and Al together, we spoil these fighters too much,” said Mayweather.
“A lot of them are appreciative, but a lot of them are not. Instead of saying ‘f*** The Money Team, he needs to be thanking the money team because at the end of the day Al Haymon is part of The Money Team. I mean me as a fighter, if I lost a fight, there’s no way in hell that my next fight I would be fighting for a title, vacant title at that, against another guy that’s coming off a loss. I wouldn’t even be proud or consider myself a champion.”
Mayweather manages to still throw shots, even in retirement.
Bad Luck and Bad Choices for Judah’s Return
Back in August, former world champion Zab Judah announced he was signing with Greg Cohen Promotions. Judah was to make quite the comeback with a fight in Las Vegas on September 11, against Hevinson Herrera.
The fight was called off as Judah and his team instigated a fight at the weigh in with Herrera and a scuffle broke out. The result ended with Herrera having a broken jaw and the bout called off. The Nevada State Athletic Commission said (per Boxing Scene) they would not take these actions lightly and consequences would be made.
However, the punishment must have been more of a slap on the hand, and Judah was scheduled to fight again in Las Vegas this coming Friday, this time against Juan Carlos Salgado. Salgado recently pulled out of the fight due to an injury and the commission and promoters have yet to agree on a last minute replacement.
Several other bouts were featured on this card, which has been completely cancelled altogether. Judah hasn’t been in the ring since losing to Paul Malignaggi back in 2013.

Jessie Vargas Calls out Bradley
Elie Seckbach’s EsNews caught footage from the post-fight press conference with Timothy Bradley and Brandon Rios. During Bradley’s speech, Jessie Vargas interrupts and yelled out, “Why not have a rematch with me?” Bradley kind of shrugged off commenting on the rematch, and that pissed off Jessie Vargas. EsNews immediately approached Vargas, and Vargas did not hold back.
“It’s f***in’ bulls***, he avoided the question and couldn’t respond to it. He’s a coward, he gave his word. He knows what would happen in the rematch, I would knock him out. He knows it too, that’s why he stood quiet like a b****. And I’ll say that to his face, people don’t know too much about me. I’m right here man, I’m not going anywhere.”
There have been rumors of a rematch with Manny Pacquiao, but Bradley also mentioned during the same press conference that Terence Crawford is in the running. “Isn’t [Terence] Crawford fighting Pacquiao?” said Bradley.
That immediately send the crowd into a round of applause. Bradley clearly stated it’s up to his wife, Monica Bradley, who he will face next.
