Caleb Plant (18-0, 10 KOs) dominated Mike Lee (21-1, 11 KOs) en-route to a third-round TKO victory on Saturday, July 20, 2019, as the headlining fight presented by FOX PBC Fight Night on FOX, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Plant dominated the fight from the opening bell of the first round. It didn’t take long for Plant to find his groove, as he earned a knockdown in the first round from a crisp jumping left hook.

Plant displayed his offensive arsenal early in the fight, letting his hands go in combinations.

The second round was no different as Plant took his offense a step up, hitting Lee at will. It was apparent early on that Plant is on a different level than Lee.

Lee only had seven landed punches in the first two rounds of the bout. There was no offense for Lee, nor could he defend against Plant’s quick hands.

Plant landed a powerful one-two combination that dropped Lee to begin the third round of action. Plant then proceeded to drop Lee a second time in the round.

Referee Robert Byrd felt Mike Lee had suffered enough punishment and waved the fight off after the third knockdown.

Lee didn’t agree with the referee as you could hear him yelling, “No, give me the 10 count, give me the 10 count.”

Plant’s post-fight interview was full of confidence after a dominating win.

“I’ve been telling you all week it wasn’t going 12 rounds,” said Plant after making quick work of Lee.

Plant wants to fight the best and doesn’t shy away from the challenge of the Super Middleweight division.

“We can definitely unify, I’m not hard to get ahold of,” said Plant. “I’m not hard to get in touch with.”

The future opponents for Plant could be Billy Joe Saunders, WBA champion Callum Smith or the winner between WBC champion Anthony Dirrell and David Benavidez.
