LAS VEGAS (August 21, 2018) – Entertaining and gritty Super Lightweight prospect Cameron Krael (13-13-3) makes his return to Sam’s Town Live against Mexico’s Jose Borrego (13-1,12 KOs) in 10 rounds of action. This bout marks Krael’s return to the venue after suffering a recent loss against Erick Bone back in May. This bout is set to take place on Saturday, September 22nd inside Sam’s Town Live, home of Mayweather Promotions’ Sin City Showdown cards.

The night’s co-feature will see Mayweather Promotions’ undefeated lightweight prospect, Xavier Martinez (11-0, 7KOs), who was featured on the Lara vs. Hurd undercard in April at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The Sin City Showdown card will also feature Mayweather Promotions’ talented prospects including super middleweight prospect Lionell Thompson (19-5, 11KOs), hard-hitting super middleweight contender Lanell Bellows (18-2-2, 11KOs), former 5x boxing champion Ava Knight (15-2-4, 5KOs), super middleweight prospect Kevin Newman (7-1-1, 3KOs), and super lightweight prospect Maurice Lee (8-1, 4 KOs) all in separate bouts.

At 24-years old Cameron Krael has made a name of himself becoming a fan favorite in his hometown of Las Vegas. He’s considered the “Gate Keeper” who will fight anyone to showcase his talent and heart. He’s fearless and doesn’t back down and carries that same demeanor in the ring. Prior to his recent draw against Shoki Sakai in October, Krael was coming off a 4-win streak. Focused and determined, Krael won’t allow anything to derail him in his ascension to becoming a top contender in the Super Lightweight division. Krael is strong, has a tough chin, and has gained his experience through the tough competition he’s faced in the ring. After leaving the ring each fight, he comes back hungrier than ever to earn his next victory.
Fighting out of Aguascalientes, Mexico, Borrego is a top prospect in the super lightweight division with only one loss under his belt. At a young age, 20-year-old Borrego already has sights set on winning a world title at 140 pounds. Since his U.S. debut in 2017, he has proven that he has was it takes to fight the top contenders of his division and is not looking to back down from any opponent he’s faced with. The Mexican Lightweight is coming off a recent TKO victory vs. Carlos Velasquez back in May, he is ready to get in the ring on his journey the top of the Lightweight division.
At only 20 years old, Xavier Martinez exhibits an impressive record of (11-0, 7KOs). Martinez’ aggressive fight style and quick technique helped him gain 7 victories by way of KO. The Lightweight prospect is resilient, and his skill set is undeniable. 2017 was a very promising year for the young prospect as he added 3 wins to his record, two coming by KO and one by UD. His return this April earned him a 2nd round TKO victory over his opponent. Martinez remains focused and determined to continue knocking down any opponent he is faced with to prove he’s ready for the next level.
