The news has also been confirmed by Leon Margules of Warriors Boxing (according to Boxing Scene).
According to the same report on Boxing Scene, no weight limit or location have been confirmed.
Whether or not a catch weight is agreed upon for this fight remains to be seen but it will be interesting to see how Chavez Jr. handles Fonfara’s power.
Fight fans will remember that Fonfara knocked down current lineal Light Heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson last year before losing by decision.
