Adonis Stevenson used a body attack against Andrzej Fonfara to turn back the tide to his favor when they fought last May. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has had great success wearing down his opponents with left hooks to the body. This is a very dangerous weapon for Chavez Jr. to use and it will help him create opening for his left hook up top and right uppercut which shoots up the middle.
In the fifth round of his big win over Andy Lee, Chavez Jr. hurt him with left hooks to the body that Lee never recovered from. In his rematch with Brian Vera, Chavez Jr. won in a more convincing manner by bruising Vera with heavy body shots.
Fonfara is a natural light heavyweight so he may pose some problems for Chavez Jr. is he able to connect cleanly. Fonfara likes using his jab to keep opponents at bay so a Chavez Jr. body shot can help turn the tide.
