Undisputed Middleweight Champion Shields Shows Her Enduring Humanitarian Spirit Ahead of Upcoming Showdown This Saturday, Live on SHOWTIME from Flint, Mich.

HOLLYWOOD, FL. (September 30, 2019) – Undisputed middleweight world champion Claressa Shields visited patients at the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida recently as she wraps up training camp in Miami for her showdown with former world champion Ivana Habazin Saturday, October 5 live on SHOWTIME from Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center in Flint, Mich.

An undefeated world champion who rapidly ascended to the top of her sport, Shields has always had a relentless passion for charity and giving back. The 24-year-old has used her platform to become an outspoken advocate for the Flint water crisis in her hometown, to support survivors of sexual assault and host a summer camp to help children cope with anxiety, anger, sadness and depression, amongst her endeavors.

Last week she greeted and posed for pictures with children in the hospital’s Child Life Program.
