HBO’s April 18 two-site doubleheader will begin with 2014 Fighter of the Year Terence Crawford (25-0, 17 KOs) taking on Thomas Dulorme (22-1, 14 KOs) for the WBO 140-pound strap in a Top Rank card from the University of Texas at Arlington’s College Park Center, according to an article by ESPN‘s Dan Rafael.
In the main event, Golden Boy Promotions and Banner Promotions will present the 140-pound clash between Lucas Matthysse and Ruslan Provodnikov from the the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York.
Crawford will make his first attempt at a 140-pound title after successfully defending his WBO Lightweight title several times, the last of which was against Raymundo Beltran in a complete boxing clinic.
Dulorme, on the other hand, recently defeated Hank Lundy and will finally fight for a world title after his rise was completely derailed by a TKO loss to Luis Carlos Abregu in 2012.
The night will be a busy one for boxing fans as Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will take on Andrzej Fonara in a Showtime card from the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
RBR Boxing readers, is filling a night with several cards good or bad? Would it make sense to spread them out over the span of two or three weeks, or to fill one major card on one single network?
