42-year-old Danny Green (34-5, 28 KOs) of Australia soundly defeated Roberto Bolonti (36-4, 25 KOs) of Argentina in a 10-round Cruiserweight bout earlier today at the Hisense Arena in Melbourne, Australia.
Official scores were 100-90, 100-90 and 100-90 as Bolonti did little to try and win the bout, opting to let the older man dictate the pace.
The fight was Green’s first since November of 2012, but comes against an opponent who has a permanent asterisk next to his name after the flop job he turned against Jean Pascal in December of 2014.
Green has now won three consecutive fights and is determined to setup a high stakes rematch against fellow Australian, Anthony Mundine, if the money is right.
