Denis “Drago Son” Grachev did not last the first round as Edwin “La Bomba” Rodriguez came out firing shots from all angles and stopped the tough Russian fighter.
Rodriguez knocked the Grachev down twice before the fight was stopped by the referee, as Grachev looked out on his feet.
The official stoppage came at 2:50 in Round 1. Lou DiBella–Rodriguez’s promoter–was excited to say the least.
OMG!! What a performance by Edwin “La Bomba” Rodriguez!!! Bring on Froch, Kessler, Bute……. Wow!!!! @HBOboxing

There were rumblings that Rodriguez may be distracted because of outside the ring issues with his estranged manager, Larry Army Jr.
Rodriguez showed no signs of being distracted, unless he unleashed the frustration out on his opponent.
With the win, Rodriguez wins the Monaco Million Dollar Super Four Tournament and will certainly be lined up for bigger and more lucrative fights.
Fan reaction was one of astonishment as most people had predicted that Rodriguez would try to outbox his hard hitting opponent.

Instead, Rodriguez came out with a vicious body attack and didn’t let the fight even see the second round.
With the win, “La Bomba” moves to 24-0, 16 KOS.
